Chevron

Not just for the living room rug or awesome bedroom curtains, chevron (or zigzag as I always knew it) is a trend that shows no real signs of slowing down in it’s popularity. Less common is it’s application to fashion, though for no good reason, chevron are stripes – only better.

Leopard Print Clutch by Haem $80

Shoulder straps on bags are like the flats of the heel world, they’re practical, mostly totally acceptable and often, even quite lovely. Realistically though for that ‘pow’ moment (it’s a thing, I’m sure) the shoulder strap needs to be ditched in favour of something less useful, ie. nothing.

The clutch is a status symbol and always has been. Taking up your hands with a pathetic (but beautiful) excuse for a bag rather than carriers of shopping for your dinner sends a clear message that practicality is not a current concern of yours, how indulgent.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who has admired how well clutching* shows off a good manicure and some killer bling. The bigger and brighter the bag, the better.

*Yeah, I’m coining that.
